New Websites for Veterans | News, Sports, Jobs

LANSING — The Michigan Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs on Wednesday announced the launch of four new departmental websites: Michigan Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs, Michigan Veterans Agency, Veterans’ Homes Michigan Fighters and the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy.

The department’s websites can be viewed at,,, and

The new websites are the result of a multi-year, statewide Website Content Management Replacement Project to update and replace more than 110 executive branch websites.

“Our websites provide valuable information and services to our members, employees, stakeholders and the communities we serve. That’s why it was imperative that we remove and prevent barriers to accessibility while improving navigation on the site to key services so that all visitors have a positive experience when interacting with our websites,” U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, said in a news release.

While the department’s new websites will benefit from an updated design, some key services have been enhanced, including the MVAA Benefits Advisor Map that helps connect Michigan veterans and their dependents to resources .

“Our new and improved Benefits Advisor Card gives Michigan veterans and dependents a quick and easy way to connect with the Veterans Service Officer closest to them,” Zaneta Adams, director of the MVAA, said in a press release.

“These highly trained counselors will help veterans access the educational, financial and health care benefits they have earned through their service to our state and nation.”
